Our Story
Closetly was born from two sides of the same problem:
A stylist (Sade) who spent years imagining her clients could carry her expertise in their pocket, and two roommates (Tosin & Tolu) who were always running late, standing in front of full closets with nothing to wear.
One of us knows how to help her.
Two of us were her.
Together, we built the thing we each wished existed: a closet that keeps up with you, as your body changes, your life moves, and your style grows into itself.
Meet Tosin
Chief Data & Ops Stylist
By day, Tosin builds the kind of predictive models that quietly move numbers for millions of people, the kind of work where being right matters more than being loud. She used to do this at Intuit. Now she does it for you.
By everything else, she's the friend who shows up in something comfortable that somehow still turns heads. Give her a plain white tee and she'll find the one weird, slightly clashing piece that makes the whole outfit make sense. Comfortable first, always, but never boring; if there's a bolder version of an outfit sitting right next to the safe one, Tosin's taking the bold one.
She also started a non-profit in her spare time, because apparently "analytical rigor" and "operational discipline" (her actual job title words) weren't enough of a personality trait for one person. Her style goal is simple: elevated, but she still has to be able to sit criss-cross on the floor in it.
Meet Sade
Chief Style Officer
Sade has spent 10+ years as a stylist, working with women from every walk of life through her boutique, Knit Me Up Style. She's the reason Closetly's recommendations don't just look good on paper, they actually work on real bodies.
Her own closet is basically a small art exhibit. Think asymmetric shapes, unexpected proportions, a mid-rift top with barrel-leg jeans, or a monochrome two-piece with pleats so dramatic it looks like she borrowed the curtains and made them couture. Nothing about her style is safe, but somehow everything she wears looks like it was made specifically for her body. Which, honestly, is the whole point of Closetly: she wants that for you too.
Meet Tolu
Chief Algorithm Stylist
Tolu has a Stanford master's in computer science and built Closetly's recommendation engine from scratch, the actual brain of the thing you're using right now. She's spent her career at the intersection of AI, data, and things that need to work in the real world, not just in a demo.
Off the clock, her style philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: if it's not soft, is it even clothing? Jeans, leggings, an oversized tee, whatever jean jacket or brown sweater is within arm's reach — that's Tolu on a normal day. She'll tell you she doesn't really have a "style" yet, but she's not stressed about it either. She's sporty, she's khaki-coded, she's comfortable, and she's genuinely curious what her style could become once she stops defaulting to the loosest thing in her closet. (Which, fun fact, is exactly the kind of problem she built Closetly to solve. Funny how that works.)
