Closetly Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating a Closetly account or using our app or website, you're agreeing to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use Closetly. We may update these terms from time to time, and we'll let you know about any material changes before they take effect.
2. Who can use Closetly
You must be at least 16 years old to use Closetly. By using the app, you're confirming that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away at closetly.style@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Closetly offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (currently Silver, Gold, and Diamond). Pricing for each tier is listed on our pricing page and may change from time to time.
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, no questions asked, and you'll keep access through the end of your current billing period.
If we offer a free trial, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel first.
We may change our pricing or plans, but we'll give you notice before any change affects an active subscription.
5. Your content
Your closet stays yours. Photos and items you upload remain your property. You're not handing over ownership by uploading them.
The license you give us. To actually run the app, you grant Closetly a license to use, store, and process your content for the purpose of providing your recommendations and improving the service, including the de-identified, aggregate use described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete your account or the specific content, except where we're required to retain something briefly for legal or backup purposes.
We don't use your photos in marketing materials, ads, or anywhere public without asking you first and getting your clear permission.
Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the right to upload the content you share with us, and that it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights.
6. Acceptable use
When using Closetly, you agree not to:
Use the app for anything illegal or fraudulent.
Try to access other users' accounts or data without permission.
Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the app or our recommendation engine.
Upload content that's abusive, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share.
Interfere with the app's security or normal operation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Our intellectual property
Closetly, including our app, website, branding, and recommendation engine, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. Using Closetly gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. It doesn't give you any ownership in Closetly itself.
8. About our recommendations
Closetly's styling suggestions are built on real stylist expertise and a patent-pending recommendation engine trained on that expertise. They're meant to be genuinely useful guidance, not a guarantee. Style is personal, and you're always the one who decides what to wear.
9. Third-party links and services
Closetly may link to or rely on third-party services, like our payment processor. We're not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of services we don't operate ourselves.
10. Disclaimers
Closetly is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running smoothly and to make sure recommendations are genuinely useful, but we can't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly suited to every situation. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim other warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Closetly isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Closetly is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose.
12. Termination
You can stop using Closetly and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, or if we need to for legal or security reasons. Either way, our Privacy Policy still governs what happens to your data afterward.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Closetly grows. If we make a material change, we'll notify you before it takes effect, whether that's by email or in the app.
